Swimming trunks tour by motorcycle

This motorcycle tour takes you through a beautiful part of Carinthia with lovely landscapes and many cultural assets. If we wanted to describe everything, we would have to write a big book. Nevertheless, you should take enough time for this trip because there is a lot to see and places where you will want to linger. But don't forget your swimming trunks either.

After this long motorcycle tour, we can look back on the eventful day in a relaxed mood. Hopefully we had enough time to refresh ourselves in the lakes.

We ride from Tröpolach to Hermagor and via the Gitschtal (Weißbriach) and the Kreuzberg (1,077m above sea level) to Lake Weissensee (approx. 930m above sea level, the highest bathing lake in the Alps). Here we cross the lake bridge at Techendorf and continue along the lake to Naggl - or Obernaggl. At the wayside shrine you have the best view over the fjord-like Weissensee. Take the road back to Kreuzbergstraße and follow it down into the valley to Greifenburg. Here you turn right onto the Drautalbundesstraße and continue to Spittal.

In the center of Spittal, turn left in the direction of Lieserschlucht - Millstättersee. The Lieserschlucht gorge is very interesting and winding. At the end of the gorge, turn right towards Lake Millstättersee. It is the deepest lake in Carinthia. Now we cycle along the lake to Radenthein. At the end of Radenthein (traffic circle), we turn into the Gegendtal valley and head towards Villach. Here we soon pass the Brennsee and Afritzer See lakes, which according to legend were divided by the Mirnock giant. After Treffen we turn off towards Ossiachersee.

Caution: You can easily get lost here. (crossroads, traffic circles). We cycle along Lake Ossiach via Sattendorf, Bodensdorf, Steindorf and on to Feldkirchen.

Attention: Speed is strictly controlled at Lake Ossiach! In Feldkirchen we turn right towards Wörthersee or Krumpendorf. In Krumpendorf am Wörthersee we turn left towards Klagenfurt, ride south along the lake to Viktring and then turn right again towards Rauschale See and Keutschacher See.

In Keutschach, we turn right to Reifnitz and Maria Wörth and now ride along the beautiful Wörthersee-Süduferstraße to Velden am Wörthersee. Here we continue to Rosegg im Rosental and from there to Faaker See. In Egg am Faakersee we keep south along the shore and continue to Finkenstein, Fürnitz, Arnoldstein, Nötsch and further along the Gailtalbundesstraße in the direction of Hermagor to Pressegger See.

If you haven't unpacked your swimming trunks yet, you should take the opportunity to do so at Lake Presseggersee. It is one of the warmest bathing lakes. You can also refresh yourself in this lake in the late afternoon or at the end of the tour. The last few kilometers to Tröpolach bring an eventful day to a close.
