This motorcycle tour has it all. Not only the different scenic beauties, the imposing mountain world, the different cultures and interesting buildings (from farmhouses to massive churches or castles) will inspire you, but also the passes, mountain roads and countless bends, which are laid out in every conceivable location.
This tour may be a little long, but it is not a monster tour. There is enough time to enjoy the many impressions.

We were impressed by the 5 regions of Friuli, Beluno, South Tyrol, East Tyrol and Carinthia. We will be talking about it for a long time to come. This route is certainly worth repeating, because there is still so much to experience.

Motorcycle tour description
We ride from Tröpolach via Nassfeld to Pontebba. From there through the Fellatal valley to Carina. Here we turn off to Tolmezzo. From Tolmezzo we ride in the direction of Mauria Pass as far as Villa Santina. At the fork in the road, take the turn-off to Ovaro on the right. We ride via Ovaro, Rigolato, Forni Avoltri to Sappada (1,217m above sea level). Sappada is home to a German-speaking ethnic group, the "Bloden", who settled here in the Middle Ages. The architectural style of the old houses is similar to the Tyrolean or Lesachtal architectural style. This is why it is also known as the small Lesachtal valley.
From Sappada, we continue via San Pietro to San Stefano. Keep left here and ride through the tunnel. After the tunnel, turn right towards Auronzo. From Auronzo we continue in the direction of Lake Misurina, Col San Angelo (1,756m above sea level), past the Three Peaks to Dobbiaco. At the crossroads, continue left to Olang and turn right into Antholzertal. This road leads to the Staller Sattel (2,052m above sea level).
Attention: At the junction in Olang there is already a sign indicating that the Staller Sattel can only be driven on one lane due to a traffic light regulation. You have to be careful here because of the travel times.
Over the Staller Sattel you come through the Deffreggental (high valley) to Huben in the Iseltal. Here we turn right towards Lienz. At the traffic circle in Lienz, we turn left through the town into the Drau Valley and on to Oberdrauburg. Now we have to cross the Drau bridge and ride over the Gailberg to Kötschach-Mauthen. From here we turn left again through the Gailtal valley back to the starting point in Tröpolach.
