This motorcycle tour takes us to the province of Friuli and a little bit of the province of Beluno. It takes us through wild landscapes, through places that have not quite lost their medieval flair. But also through endless bends and just as many hills. We also reach the village of Sauris again, which we have already mentioned in a tour description.
Just to add: in Sauris di Sopra (Upper Sauris) there is a lovely pub to the right of the road, which not only serves the beer brewed here, but also the famous and very delicious ham. Taking a break here and enjoying it is certainly an enrichment of the tour.
This route invites you to linger in many places, which unfortunately is not always possible, but many beautiful impressions will remain.

We ride from Tröpolach via Nassfeld to Pontebba. Here we have the option of either riding over the Sella dei Cerechiats and the Aupa Valley to Moggio and on to Tolmezzo, or through the Fella Valley (normal route) to Tolmezzo. At the traffic circle in Tolmezzo, take the route towards Passo di Mauria. In Villa Santina, make sure you stay on the right road and don't take the route to Ovara.
In Ampezzo, almost at the end of the village, there is a turn-off to Sauris on the right. This mountain road leads through many bends and a few unlit tunnels to Sauris (1,362m above sea level). A stop at the reservoir and a view into the wild gorge are an extra experience. From Sauris, the road leads through an impressive landscape that culminates at the Sella di Razzo (1,760m above sea level).
The road leads across alpine pastures to a crossroads. We stay left and ride down into the valley to Pelso di Cadore. From there we return via Lorenzago di Cadore, the Mauria Pass (1,295 m above sea level), the aforementioned Ampezzo, to Villa Santina. Here we must not overlook the crossroads to Ovaro or Comeglians and turn left in this direction. In Comeglians we turn right to Paluzza, Timau, the Plöckenpass (1,360m above sea level) to Kötschach. From there we turn right through the Gailtal valley back to Tröpolach.
