Cycling region Nassfeld Well-developed cycle & mountain bike trails at Nassfeld

Leisurely cycle tours with a low elevation profile take you through Carinthia's nature - along the River Gail or around lakes. E-bikes are also a good alternative for less fit cyclists. The nature around the Hotel Garni Zerza is just right for a cycling trip with the whole family or with friends. The most beautiful places, such as Lake Pressegger See, invite you to take a break. The Gailtal cycle path R3 is particularly popular.

This very popular, approx. 85 km long trail starts in Kötschach-Mauthen and ends just before Villach. The tour can be completed comfortably in two days and is ideal for families with children of all ages. You ride through the entire natural arena of Carinthia, the Gailtal, Gitschtal, Lesachtal and the Weissensee.

The tour runs in the direction of the river Gail and is always slightly downhill. The roads are almost completely asphalted and mostly traffic-free, except for very few sections on side roads with little traffic. The cycle path leads through romantic villages and idyllic landscapes. In summer, the section from Hermagor to Lake Pressegger See and on to Vorderberg is particularly recommended. The lakeside lidos invite you to cool off.

The entire route is well marked with green signs and white ground markings. Take a break at one of the rest areas at particularly beautiful spots.

From Hotel Garni Zerza, it's just a 3-minute bike ride to the Millenium Express. The cable car takes you up the mountain in comfort. The mountain station is the starting point for many adventurous mountain bike and cycle tours. Hikes are also possible from here.

A special highlight is the Lift & Bike Giro, where you experience an 11.7 km descent to the valley station of the Millenium Express. The way down is almost entirely on gravel and will test your fitness.
