The coffee tour - Weissensee
There’s plenty to experience on the Coffee Tour—Weissensee. It’s worth stopping by sights like the Hundskirche, Forchtensee, or Goldeck to take a break —perhaps to enjoy a cup of coffee.
Conclusion about this motorcycle tour
We were truly impressed by the beautiful alpine pastures and the stunning natural scenery. You definitely shouldn't miss having coffee on the eastern shore of Lake Weissensee.

Motorcycle tour description
We drive from Tröpolach toward Hermagor, and from there continue toward Villach until we reach St. Stefan. About 500 meters past St. Stefan, we leave the Gailtal federal highway and turn right toward Windische Höhe. After about 4 km of steep ascent, we reach Windische Höhe, a beautiful alpine pasture area.
Continue along the wide, well-maintained road into the Kreuztal valley, through the gorge-like landscape (watch out for the road narrowing) to the turn-off: Weissensee Ostufer. We ride through a beautiful, almost untouched landscape. After a few kilometers, the Farchtensee, which is a nature reserve, is on the left. On the eastern shore, perhaps over a cup of coffee, you should take in this impressive natural landscape and the clear, fjord-like lake. You can experience more of this impressive landscape on a Weissensee boat trip (takes approx. 2 hours there and back).
From the lake, we drive back along the same route, this time toward Stockenboi. We pass through a narrow valley and arrive in Zlan. Here, we have the option of taking the panoramic road up to the Goldeck (toll road). If we don’t take the panoramic road, we stay on this route toward Paternion. After Paternion, we turn right again toward Kreuzen/Hermagor. Just below the highway, we turn onto the narrow road leading to the Kreuzen Pass Road. From there, the route descends via the Windische Höhe to the Gailtal federal highway and back toward Hermagor to our starting point in Tröpolach.
