Nockalm Road in Carinthia
This tour features the Nockalmstraße, a spectacular highlight of Carinthia that can also be experienced with a section of our ticket. The route leads over the Windische Höhe, past the eastern shore of Lake Millstatt, and through Radenthein and Bad Kleinkirchheim to the Reichenau Plain. From there, the Nockalmstraße adventure begins.

The 34-kilometer-long road through the“Nocky Mountains”features 52 hairpin turns, plenty of curves, and breathtaking views. At 2,042 meters, the Eisentalhöhe is the highest point along the route. Several huts and alpine pastures invite you to take a break and enjoy some refreshments; the Glockenhütte, in particular, is very popular with motorcyclists. Not least because of the large wooden motorcycle in front of the door, which shows that bikers are warmly welcome—a souvenir photo with it is practically a must.
Via the Katschberghöhe and the Turracher Höhe, we make a detour into Salzburger Land and Styria. Both provide respectable hairpin bends and ensure decent climbs and descents.
The return journey to Tröpolach is via Villach, Bad Bleiberg and Nötsch.
