Villach Alpine Road around the Nassfeld

After driving through Bad Bleiberg, Villach is quickly reached; we validate one section of our ticket, and before we know it, 166 curves and 7 hairpin turns await us, spread out over an incredible 16.5 motorcycle kilometers. Once at the top, there’s a phenomenal view of Villach’s local mountain, the 2,166-meter-high Dobratsch, as well as the Julian Alps and the Karawanken. For guests who aren’t afraid of heights, the “Rote Wand” observation deck is highly recommended.
On the rest of the tour towards Klagenfurt, you pass Lake Faaker See, which is not only known to Harley fans. Velden am Wörthersee is home to the castle famous from the TV series and a bust of Roy Black, who once played the leading role in "A Castle on Lake Wörthersee".
With the Gurktal valley, the motorcycle roads take over the main role again and they have it all. An ingenious spectacle of bends that takes a short break around Feldkirchen and then picks up speed again from Himmelberg to Lake Millstatt, past Lake Afritz.
The return trip to Tröpolach, over the Windische Höhe and past Lake Pressegger See, rounds off a successful motorcycling day in style.
